Bishop International Airport's Police Department is comprised of six full-time employees, one of whom is a Lieutenant, and six part-time employees. The Department is overseen by the Director of Public Safety. The Police Department Office is located underneath the escalator on the air-side of the building. There are always officers on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
All of the employees are certified Police Officers who have been trained and certified by the State of Michigan; six of them are trained as Emergency Medical Technicians or Paramedics.
Their number one priority is to ensure that your visit to Bishop International Airport is safe and secure, so they are all trained to respond to both medical and "trouble" emergencies anywhere on airport grounds.
