Flint's Bishop International Airport Announces AirTran Airways' Florida Service Enhancements

(Flint, Michigan) Flint's Bishop International Airport (FNT) is pleased to announce that AirTran Airways is increasing Southeast Michigan's Florida fun! Effective November 15, 2006, AirTran Airways will increase their current Saturday only jet service to Tampa with daily departures. Then, on December 21, 2006, they will bring back their popular nonstop jet service to Ft. Myers - also with daily departures from Flint.

"We are pleased to add popular destinations to our Flint, Michigan service portfolio," said John Kirby, director of strategic planning and scheduling. "Whether you are visiting Florida for business or pleasure, our daily non-stops to Orlando, Tampa and Fort Myers make getting there convenient and affordable."

"I have received numerous requests from the public asking that AirTran Airways bring back their Ft. Myers nonstops for the winter, as well as their daily flights to Tampa. It's great to work with an airline that responds to the community's needs with flights that are extremely popular", stated Airport Director, Jim Rice. "Combine AirTran Airways' low fares and brand new jets, with the convenience of flying from Flint, and you'll see why we say that Flint is 'the smart way to fly.'"
