The Cleaning/Safety Protocols at Flint Bishop:

  • NEW INFORMATION: Starting Tuesday, March 24th, the Flint Bishop Airport Police will begin taking non-contact, forehead temperatures of personnel and passengers as they enter the terminal. The only doorway that will be open to the terminal is the center vestibule.
  • Restrooms are closed for cleaning after every flight, and are checked between flights at a minimum of every 30 minutes.
  • In addition to our standard janitorial contract cleaning, the Airport also employs Enviro-Master to do supplementary deep-cleanings. 
  • Hand sanitizer (70% alcohol) stations have been increased, are located throughout the entire terminal and are continually refilled as needed. 
  • Our airline gate areas are cleaned after the last flight, as well as routinely throughout the day.
  • Escalator handrails are cleaned at a minimum of once every two hours.
  • The janitorial staff uses an antibacterial disinfectant product at a minimum of once a day.
  • The cleaning staff wear disposable medical gloves.
  • All of our elevator buttons and courtesy phones are cleaned multiple times throughout the day
  • The shuttle busses are cleaned and disinfected every hour on all of the hard surfaces and frequently touched areas.
  • Each Toll Booth is cleaned and disinfected each shift, and the employees have been provided with disposable gloves.

Parking and Shuttle Information at FNT:

  •  Economy Lot:
    • Closed to NEW vehicles.
    • The parking booth exiting this lot will be unattended from 2am-8am.
  • Short Term/Long Term Lots:
    • Both remain open. 
    • The parking booth exiting these lots will be unattended from 2am-7am.   
  • If there is a flight arriving late, they will remain in the booths until the flight has landed.
  • Anyone who needs to exit any of the lots when a parking lot attendant is not present will have to use the credit card lane.
  • Shuttle Busses to the Economy Lot:
    • They will not be running from 2am-8am (this should not impact any incoming flights). We apologize for any inconvenience, and we appreciate your patience during this time of change. 

Rental Car Partners:

Food and Bar Services:

  • Both JJ's Grill (landside) and the Gateway Grill (airside) will remain open with takeout service.
  • Per Michigan's Executive Order, the Rochester Mills bar on landside will be closed, but the Sam Adams bar on airside will remain open.

Gift Shops 

  • The airside gift shop will remain open from 5am until the last flight departs.

Changes to Flying with a License as Identification:

  • Travelers with a state driver’s license that expired beginning on March 1, 2020, and who are not able to renew at their state driver’s license agency may still use it as acceptable identification at the checkpoint. TSA will accept expired driver’s licenses a year after the expiration date, plus 60 days after the duration of the COVID-19 national emergency.
