COVID-19 Tests:

Effective January 26, 2021, the CDC will require a negative covid test for anyone entering the United States. Please click HERE for the full details. 

Mask Requirements:

  1. In terminal:  We are requiring everyone to wear a mask throughout the entire terminal. This includes people who are meeting/greeting and picking up passengers. In addition, our airlines have guidance on their requirments. Follow the links below for more information. 

The Cleaning/Safety Protocols at Flint Bishop:

  • Flint Bishop Police are equipped with Smart Helmet technology that can detect elevated temperatures which is a key symptom of COVID-19. The officers wear the helmets as they're patrolling the terminal. 
  • Restrooms are closed for cleaning after every flight, and are checked between flights at a minimum of every 30 minutes.
  • In addition to our standard janitorial contract cleaning, the Airport also employs Enviro-Master to do supplementary deep-cleanings. 
  • Hand sanitizer (70% alcohol) stations have been increased, are located throughout the entire terminal and are continually refilled as needed. 
  • Our airline gate areas are cleaned after the last flight, as well as routinely throughout the day.
  • Escalator handrails are cleaned at a minimum of once every two hours.
  • The janitorial staff uses an antibacterial disinfectant product at a minimum of once a day.
  • The cleaning staff wear disposable medical gloves.
  • All of our elevator buttons and courtesy phones are cleaned multiple times throughout the day
  • Each Toll Booth is cleaned and disinfected each shift, and the employees have been provided with disposable gloves.

Parking and Shuttle Information at FNT:

  •  Economy Lot:
    • Open for overflow parking only.
  • Short Term/Long Term Lots:
    • Both remain open. 
    • Only the credit card lanes are open.   
  • If there is a flight arriving late, they will remain in the booths until the flight has landed.
  • Shuttle Buses to the Economy Lot:
    • Please call the Economy Lot when you land, at 810-234-8284, and they send the shuttle to the center terminal vestibule to take you to your car.  The shuttles are only running when notified that you are waiting.

  • JJ's Grill (landside) is open 11am-4pm.
  • Rochester Mills (landside) is closed. 
  • Airside services at the Gateway Grill and Sam Adam's Bar remain open.

Gift Shops 

  • The airside gift shop (CNBC News) is open (with reduced hours).  
  • Michigan Marketplace reopens on March 8, 2021.

Changes to Flying with a License as Identification:

  • Travelers with a state driver’s license that expired beginning on March 1, 2020, and who are not able to renew at their state driver’s license agency may still use it as acceptable identification at the checkpoint. TSA will accept expired driver’s licenses a year after the expiration date, plus 60 days after the duration of the COVID-19 national emergency.
